This Crockpot Pork Chops recipe is one of our all time favorites.
Slow cooker pork chops are melt-in-your-mouth tender and smothered in a creamy mushroom and onion gravy. The prep is extra fast for this easy recipe!
Hearty, heartwarming, and so easy to make, the slow cooker does all of the work! It’s an easy dish that everyone will agree on!

Here’s Why These Are the Best
This is a childhood comfort food turned into an effortless make-ahead dish. Oh, so many reasons we think these are the best crock pot pork chops.
- Just a handful of ingredients (most of which you likely have on hand) make this recipe so easy.
- This turns inexpensive chops into a melt-in-your-mouth meal with fork-tender perfection and a rich gravy.
- If you’ve got pork chops, you likely have the remaining ingredients on hand.
- Very little prep and simple steps make this a recipe for every day and any day.
- Great over rice, mashed potatoes, or any kind of noodles (my favorite is to serve over elbow noodles).

Ingredients
Pork Chops – When cooking crockpot pork chops you want to choose thicker bone in chops. Look for chops that are well marbled with a bit of fat throughout. Leaner cuts will not be as tender. The best pork chops for the crock pot include blade chop, shoulder chop, sirloin chop, or tenderloin chops.
Sauce Ingredients – This recipe makes an easy mushroom gravy sauce.
- Condensed Soup – We use condensed soup in this recipe because it holds up well in a crock pot. Fresh dairy can curdle or separate if cooked too long in a slow cooker.
- Broth – Regular or low sodium beef broth or stock is the base of the brown gravy. Chicken broth can be substituted but the flavor isn’t quite as rich.
- Onions & Mushrooms – Sliced onions and mushrooms add flavor. Use white or brown (cremini) mushrooms, I find brown mushrooms have more flavor. Even canned mushrooms work in a pinch.
Variations include swapping out the seasonings and adding a packet of ranch seasoning.
Important Ingredient Info
For the best tender results, choose blade chop, shoulder chop, sirloin chop, or tenderloin chops.

How to Make Crock Pot Pork Chops
It will taste like you’ve been hovering over the stove all day long, but this is really the easiest pork chop recipe.
- Sprinkle seasoning over the chops and brown in a skillet. Remove from pan and deglaze the pan with broth and soup, per the recipe below.
- Place mushrooms and onions in the bottom of a slow cooker & place pork chops on top.
- Pour the sauce mixture over and cover. Cook until tender.
Serve over mashed potatoes or egg noodles.

Tips for Tender Slow Cooker Pork Chops
- The most tender results come from a bone-in thicker (approx. 3/4″) chop with nice marbling throughout.
- For best results, choose thick cut pork chops that have fat and great marbling! Look for a blade chop, shoulder chop, or sirloin chop. Personal favorite is a shoulder chop. Boneless pork chops work too, just ensure they have nice marbling.
- Meat that is very lean doesn’t work well in this recipe as it won’t give the same tender results.
- Cook the chops low and slow allowing the fats to melt into the meat creating a tender juicy result!
- If the chops aren’t tender (and you’ve used one of the recommended types) they likely need more time.
Got Leftovers?
Keep leftover Crockpot pork chops in a covered container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat portions over the stovetop and add a little milk or cream to thin out the sauce.
Leftovers make great freezer meals.

I love your recipes! ❤️❤️ Thank you
Thanks Jessica, that is so sweet of you!
6 stars out of 5. The kids asked for this every week. My family loves it. It’s amazing. This works just as well with beef. I take a chuck roast chop it up dust it with flour before I sear it off and it turns out amazing. Love it.
Made this the other night and it came out delicious. I didnt have beef broth so I used French onion soup by Campbell’s. For me, I didn’t like the bone in. Next time I may use thicker pork chops!! Absolutely delicious
this was soooooo good. I don’t eat meat but don’t care if things are cooked with meat so I put on a Quorn chicken patty for myself. Had it with mashed potatoes and the mushroom gravy was so good that I ate too much. My husband also gave it 5 stars and was extremely happy.
One of the best recipes I have tried on a while! DELICIOUS COMFORT FOOD!
This looks so yummy!
I’d love to make it but I’d need it dairy free.
Whenever a recipe asks for a cream of chicken I make my own with some broth, flour and milk. But I’m afraid it’ll curdle in the slow cooker. Any words of advice?
I have found that dairy can curdle in the slow cooker but haven’t tried dairy free alternatives so I can’t say for sure. A can of gravy might work well as a replacement. Let us know how it goes!
After purchasing thin bone-in pork chops I read the tips and was concerned the chops would not be tender. However, I proceeded with the thin chops anyway and was delicious. My mother and I loved this with mashed potatoes.
Fork tender!
I have 1 1/4″ center cut bone-in pork chops. Would these work with this recipe? Thanks!
Those should work well for this recipe.
I had 2 large chops bone-in, 1 can of cream of mushroom soup, beef broth plus seasoning, followed recipe, cooked for 41/2 hrs on low heat.. Hubby cleaned his plate, it was delicious..
My go to pork chop recipe. You can never go wrong with spend with pennies recipes and this is no exception. I look forward to cooler weather so I can get out my crockpot. I make this as written my only variation is the type of cream soup on hand. Today it’s golden mushroom and cream of chicken.
Made this with mashed potatoes last night and can not wait to have leftovers tonight! Delicious . I had boneless pork loin chops on hand but will buy bone in next time. Easy to prepare, beautiful, tasty gravy and fall apart chops. These will be a great addition to my meal rotation. I’m looking forward to making so many other recepies from you.
Easy and very tender and tasty.
This was quite good. I did double the amount of onions and mushrooms, simply because I had them on hand and needed to use them. However in doing that the sauce was necessarily thinned out quite a bit due to the high water content of each. Flavor was very good. The meat was tender. This is a perfect dish to serve with mashed potatoes.
This recipe was great! I will be making it again. The gravy was so tasty!!
Can this be frozen?
I am not sure if this recipe would freeze well since it’s made with cream soups. But we would love to hear how it turns out for you if you decide to try it!
Best mushroom pork chops I’ve had. Used shoulder cut chops. Delicious, falling apart tender and easy to make.
Easy, and if it tastes half a good after it finishes cooking, very decadent.
I doubled the recipe because I had a Costcopackage of pork chops and would recommend using a larger crock pot for it. I wasto get everything in the crock, but itwas filled “to the brim!!”.
Thanks for sharing SWP! Definitely saving to favorites.
how can I make this on the stove
I haven’t tried this recipe on the stove as it’s a low and slow cook. You can make this similar pork chop recipe in the oven.
Use this exact recipe but use a stove top pan with a lid. Bring everything to a boil, turn your heat down to low, cover it and let the chops simmer for 1 to 1.5 hrs. You’ll get super close to the same results!
I made it and it is tender and delicious thank you and you all must try this one
