How to Make Green Bean Fries

  1. Whisk all batter ingredients until smooth and dip the beans into the batter.
  2. Transfer coated green beans into a deep fryer or heated oil in a pan & cook per the recipe below.
  3. Use a slotted spoon to remove them & place them on a clean paper towel to drain. Season and enjoy.

This recipe is not recommended in an air fryer however leftover green bean fries can be reheated in the air fryer for a couple of minutes.

If you’d like to cook green beans in the air fryer, we suggest using the bread crumb based coating in our air fryer onion ring recipe.

Tips for Crispy Deep Fried Green Bean Fries

  • Avoid crowding the pan or deep fryer so the pieces don’t stick together.
  • Let the batter rest for about 5 minutes before dipping the green beans to create a lighter coating.
  • Season the hot beans with salt immediately after removing from the oil.
  • Serve green bean fries with your favorite dipping sauces, we love ranch or chipotle aioli.
