opening up a Pizza Bomb with melty cheese

My kids love pizza and this was a fun take on the usual!  These also make great lunches because, just like pizza pockets, the kids can just pop them in their lunch and heat them up for 30 seconds before eating!

If you’re putting different ingredients in them, save a tiny piece to put on top and that makes it easy to tell what’s inside of each one!  You can use shredded or cubed mozzarella cheese for these!

The easiest way to seal the biscuits is to fold it like a taco, pinch the edges shut and then bring the corners under to make it round.  When you bake them, you might see a little bit of cheese leak out of some of them, don’t worry, there will still be lots left inside!

  1. I love this idea, so simple and there is lots of potential for adding new and interesting fillings. My toddler will love it! Thanks so much for the inspiration!

  2. I’m going to add a slice of pepperoni to these. I think adding a bit of topping would make the pizza bomb a big bomb! Lol

  3. Holly, which kind of biscuits are you useing? I am trying to find the one that has 10ct but I only see the golden layers. Is that the one to use. I would like to post this recipe and review it for The Plaid Plate.

    1. I haven’t tried preparing them ahead of time so I can’t say for sure. If you do try, please let us know how it works out for you!

  4. Yummy! I’m trying it with Cresent rolls cuz that’s what I have I’m just using however many triangles as needed per roll (kids size vs husband size) hope it turns out yummy for a guys get together!

Umm..Holly do u have any low fat or light recipes? Or are the nutritional Info posted for other recipes somewhere? Just curious gotta watch my diet for health reasons. Thanks for your awesome posts!

    1. I haven’t tried freezing them first. If you did, I would recommend baking them first and then freezing and reheating them.

      1. If you bake and then freeze to reheat later… Wouldn’t they become chewy like trying to reheat pizza rolls in a microwave? Just thinking out loud…

      2. They are nice and soft once reheated (as long as they aren’t overheated of course)!

  5. Its great that you can print out the recipe’s need to have them print But why does your web site print comments, adds an everything else took 4 pages for a 1/2page recipe Lots of ink wasted

    1. If you use the button that says “print” on the top square area of the recipe near the title this should eliminate the problem. Hope that helps!

  6. hi8, im in the uk, we dont have “pilsbury biscuits” what is is? what can i substitute this with? what kind of dough is it? thanks
