Made this for supper tonight. I didn’t have panko bread, so substituted finely crushed whole wheat crackers. My husband and son cleaned the platter. We don’t eat a lot of fish, but this recipe may definitely change that. Went great with vegetable rice pilaf and cheese biscuits. Super glad I found this recipe.
This was SO delicious and simple! I roasted some yams and peppers in the oven to go with it. Dinner took minimal effort and was healthy.
Excellent! Easy to put together. Great flavor!
This is a very tasty and easy recipe. Plus, it’s healthy. I followed the recipe as written and I would definitely recommend it to friends. Fast, easy and delicious! Thanks!
Finally, I have my go-to baked tilapia recipe! Dinner was a solo mission tonight – meaning I cooked by myself and for myself, and It feels like I ate the weight of my cat in fish, but it was so, so good. Looking forward to making this again – maybe adding cherry tomatoes, and/or some cayenne or red pepper flakes. A keeper for sure!
LOL! I’m glad you enjoyed it!
Great, healthy, fast, inexpensive with easily available ingredients
Can I sub vegetable oil for butter when making the mixture?
I’ve only made the recipe as written Alexa, but think that should work just fine. Enjoy!

Hi Holly,
Loved your recipe. Tried it for the first time last night. I used lime, but it kept its lime taste too. It was light and I kept it in the oven on warm. I also tried your banana bread. Next, I’ll try your couscous recipe. I like that Your food is very clean. Who taught you how to cook?
So glad you loved it Melissa! My mom is an amazing cook so I learned a lot from her! I’ve attended classes at our local culinary school and I try to take cooking classes every time I travel (Italy, Louisiana, and Mexico to name a few). Enjoy the couscous!
Loved it simple to make and very tasted. Just used some frozen white fish.
Oh 5 stars is not nearly enough for this most excellent and delicious recipe! I made it tonight and it was terrific! I served it with green beans and squash casserole, and my goodness we both loved it. Thank you for this, it’s the only way I’m eating tilapia for the rest of my life.
Really tasty and juicy! I actually started with frozen tilapia, and it worked beautifully.
