Ingredients for Garlic Monkey Bread
BISCUITS: Keep it quick with canned biscuits or whip up a batch of homemade biscuits for a from-scratch version.
GARLIC BUTTER: Challenge butter makes great garlic butter since it’s churned fresh daily the old fashioned way from cream (from happy cows)! You’ll want to double up to have extra for drizzling over potatoes or veggies!
CHEESE: Choose sharp cheddar, melty mozzarella, and a tangy parmesan to get the best cheese flavor combination. You can use any combo of cheeses (and this is one of the few recipes that pre-shredded works just as well).
ADD-INS: There are so many ways to make cheesy garlic monkey bread into a different recipe every time! Mix in cooked chorizo, seasoned ground beef, chopped pepperoni, or ham along with the biscuits and garlic butter, and then top with sliced black olives, jalapenos, or bacon bits.

This is the easiest and most moist banana bread I’ve ever made. Just delicious!
This sounds amazing and so easy to make! I would like to take as an appetizer for a large family Christmas gathering. Do you think I could triple the and cook in a Bundt pan? Thanks!
I haven’t tried it so I can’t say for sure Erin. I am not sure a triple recipe would fit in a standard size Bundt pan, I use two cans of biscuit dough in my monkey bread recipe which is baked in a Bundt pan and it is full when it bakes. If you do try a double recipe in a Bundt pan I would use this monkey bread recipe as a guideline for cooking times! I hope this helps.
Love this! Grandkids ate up so fast, I had to make a second and third pan, so that the rest of the family could enjoy as well! Thanks so much!!!!
I love that, Sharron! So happy they enjoyed it.
This sound delicious!….do you think it would work with your ‘Two Ingredient Dough’…or a Batch of Buttermilk Biscuit’s……the reason I am asking is…. I live in Mexico…and because they have to import ..Pilsbury Biscuits ….they can be sometimes be 2 – 3 times the cost?
Hi Wendy, this recipe should work with any biscuit dough! You will have to let us know how it turns out for you.
What’s canned biscuits?
Hi Karen, canned biscuit dough can be purchased at most grocery stores. It is just what it seems, prepared canned biscuit dough that is ready to bake with! Hope that helps.
