Pumpkin dip is sweet, creamy, and full of cozy fall flavor. Made with whipped cream cheese, pumpkin, warm spices, and whipped topping, it comes together in minutes and is perfect for dipping.

Holly’s Recipe Highlights
- Flavor: A fluffy and tangy cream cheese base is combined with pumpkin, spice, and everything nice for all the best fall flavors in one dip.
- Recommended Tools: A hand mixer is essential for the perfect airy texture!
- Prep Note: Let the cream cheese soften before mixing so your dip turns out smooth, creamy, and fluffy.
- Time-Saving Tip: This dip will last up to 5 days in the fridge, so make it now and save time later!

What’s in Pumpkin Dip?
- Cream Cheese: The cream cheese base is lightly sweetened with powdered sugar. Be sure to soften the cream cheese so it blends smoothly to create that fluffy, rich base.
- Pumpkin Spice & Everything Nice: Pumpkin puree and pumpkin spices add flavor to this recipe. Use a can of pumpkin puree, not pumpkin pie filling. Add a sprinkle of ground cinnamon, pumpkin pie spice, or nutmeg on top.
- Topping: Use store-bought whipped topping or homemade whipped cream. If making this recipe ahead, be sure to use store-bought whipped topping as it holds up better in the fridge.

How to Make Pumpkin Dip
- Beat cream cheese & powdered sugar together.
- Stir in pumpkin & spices (full recipe below).
- Fold in the whipped topping and refrigerate before serving.

Snackable Scoopers
- Fruit: Apple slices, bananas, berries, or any other fresh fruit.
- Cookies: Gingersnaps, wafer cookies, vanilla cookies, or graham crackers are perfect for dipping.
- Savory: Pretzels, pita chips, potato chips, or even just a spoon!
Storing Leftovers
This dip will keep in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. Freezing isn’t recommended as this dip becomes watery when thawed.

We love this dip. It’s easy enough even I feel comfortable in the kitchen! It makes quite a large batch, is this something that you could freeze some of it?
So glad you’ve enjoyed it! I haven’t tried freezing this recipe before but I do think it would work. Let us know how it goes!
This dip is addictively delicious! I served it with graham wafers but really just used a spoon. It was gone in no time. SWP Employee
This is delicious! I thought I would have to hide it from the hubby. My new autumn appetizer. Thanks!
this pumpkin dip is so good it’s the only one I use and also the only one I tell everybody about
very easy and super yummy
Could this recipe be adapted to create a Brownie or cake frosting?
I have not tried using this recipe as a frosting but it is a thicker dip so it would probably hold up well on brownies and be absolutely delicious! As for a cake, maybe another reader has tried and can offer some guidance.
This was a miss for me, sadly. I have loved every other recipe I’ve gotten from this site. I followed the directions and recipe exactly and the end result was just very bland and too sweet. Taste is subjective, so others may love it! I’m also in my first trimester of pregnancy so it could just be me?
This was wonderful with cinnamon chips!
Most requested holiday treat from the family and coworkers!!!
This was really good’. Going to definitely keep this recipe ! I am going to use it Jallooween night as well as Thanksgiving !
As usual thanks so much for sharing’
This is the easiest, most delicious fall dessert. Whenever I bring this to an event it is always the hit of the party and everyone is asking for the recipe! SWP Employee
Nope. Far too sickly sweet. Had to throw it out.
Instead, 1 package cream cheese, 1 can pumpkin, 1 cup whipped topping, 2 tsp pumpkin pie spice, then sugar to taste.
Can this be made the day before I am serving it? Thanks
Yes, this can be made in advance it will last for up to 5 days in the refrigerator!
