Ingredients and Variations

So many additions and variations taste terrific with asparagus!

ASPARAGUS  To evenly cook, choose spears that are roughly the same size. If using asparagus of varying sizes, some will be softer and some will be crisper!

OLIVE OIL Use a good quality olive oil and freshly ground pepper for the best flavor profile. Melted butter or coconut oil will work too!

SEASONINGS We keep it simple in this recipe seasoning the asparagus with salt and pepper. You can spice it up tossing asparagus in chili seasoning or red chili flakes. Try tossing them in garlic powder or everything bagel seasoning for a fun change of flavor!

ADDITIONS Toss it with bacon crumbles, coat it with parmesan, or even serve with hollandaise sauce. Our new fave? Try it with Beurre Blanc!

Serve it up as an appetizer, healthy snack, or side dish with an entree. No matter where it shows up, Air Fryer asparagus is sure to be a hit.

How to Make Air Fryer Asparagus

Short on time while making dinner, and need a quick side? There are just three quick steps to crispy asparagus perfection!

  1. Preheat the Air Fryer.
  2. Prepare asparagus and toss with oil and seasonings.
  3. Cook according to the recipe below!

So simple, yet so delicious!

Tips to Prep Asparagus

Asparagus has tough, woody ends that aren’t edible.

To prepare asparagus hold it at both ends and snap it. The part that naturally breaks off (at the thicker end) is best discarded as it has a woody texture.

Rinse asparagus well to remove potential debris and pat dry before tossing with oil.

Leftovers? Chop and add to a special frittata, quiche or soup!

  1. Amazing!!! I was apprehensive at first because the recipe calls for olive oil & we normally use a basting oil comprised of sunflower oil. The first batch at 400°was a tad bit too crispy on the ends but that 2nd batch at 370° was sheer perfection. THANK YOU!!5 stars
