Notes
- Cooking the bread with garlic butter adds a crisp topping and keeps the bread from getting soggy.
- If you don’t have garlic butter, brush the bread with olive oil or melted butter and sprinkle with garlic powder or a few cloves of minced garlic.
- Ensure meat is cooked before adding. If your toppings have a lot of moisture, cook them first (like mushrooms) or lightly squeeze them dry (like pineapple).
- Place finished French bread halves under the broiler to make the cheese and toppings extra crispy!

Just made this and it’s really good.
Thank you! I am glad you enjoyed it.
I use this recipe every time I make French bread pizza and it’s the best. Making it like garlic bread first before the sauce and cheese is what makes it so special.
The only thing I did differently was to make it in my countertop convection oven so I reduced the cooking time.
love this recipe so easy and flavorful
i have made this receipe about 5 times now always crunchy and chees

tasty! but is it 600 cals per serving or 600 cals total?
The nutrition information is per serving. I am glad you enjoyed this recipe Bella!
So great for an easy pizza night. I’ve done so many “professional” style pizza crusts that are long and drawn out and take days. I’ve made my own sauces and used sliced mozzarella and other expensive ingredients.
I love THIS! I buy all storebought ingredients and pre shredded pizza cheese. No headache, no prep, just perfect pizza every time, in no time. I can’t until my daughter is old enough to enjoy making and eating this with me and hubs.
Made this pizza for a weekend camping trip by pre-slicing and preparing the bread with garlic butter. Added toppings and wrapped the loaves in foil after a day of hiking then put the packet into a lidded pan over the fire. Definitely one of the most unexpectedly amazing campfire meals ever!!
What a great idea Julie!
Perfection. Our new go to for quick and easy pizza. Pre baking with the garlic butter (I melted and used garlic powder) makes all the difference. So tasty!!!
It was good but the bottom of our bread was burnt. I would recommend cooking for shorter time.
Good af
Thanks Holly :)
Perfect

Wow this is delicious! I made the garlic butter and so glad I did. Then I just added the toppings that I had to work with. Tonight, leftover pizza and I will reheat it in my trusty air fryer.
So glad you loved it Anne, I agree… the garlic butter is so good on this!
further to the above comment…
Yeah 100%… the GARLIC BUTTER twist… So easy… Why didn’t I think of that?
This was incredibly delicious. I served it to a group for an appetizer and they all loved it, too! Not a bite left. I used a locally made ciabatta bread and it was awesome. Thanks and we will make it often!
