butter and seasoning on a bagel with a butter knife

I don’t eat bagels very often but when I do, I can assure you it’s going to be an ‘everything bagel’ toasted with cream cheese or butter.  I actually love bagels but find them a little bit heavy to eat all of the time…  of course it’s the topping of the bagel I truly love.  I decided to take those delicious seasonings & seeds and add them to my own butter!

If you’ve never played with making your own flavored butters before,  you must try it!  Not only are they easy to make but you can add pretty much anything to them!  I’ve made so many types both sweet and savory!  One of our all time favorites is Whipped Strawberry Butter but I’ve also done 4 cheese butter, bacon cheddar garlic butter and of course this ‘everything bagel’ butter!

This is the perfect topper for english muffins, toast and even veggies or corn!

  1. OMG I love you! Why have I not seen this before or thought of it?!? Simple, yet…. NECESSARY! Was already planning on making bagels and/or english muffins tomorrow. Now, this too!

  2. This is such a great idea! I want to do it for Christmas for my little brother who is equally everything bagel obsessed as I am :) One question though, how did you mix everything in with the butter? Did you leave it out for a while first to get soft enough so it was easy to stir in and then firm it back up in the fridge? Thanks!

    1. Yes, let the butter soften on the counter and mix in the seasonings. Once incorporated, roll and refrigerate per the recipe!

  3. @Holly

I don’t eat bagels all the time however when I do, I can guarantee you it will be an ‘everything bagel’ toasted with cream cheddar or spread. I really cherish bagels yet discover them a tad bit substantial to eat constantly.
