How to Clean Mushrooms

Mushrooms are delicate and the best way to clean them is to brush off any loose dirt before using. Rinsing them in a colander is okay as long as they are dried immediately afterward with a clean cloth or paper towel. Mushrooms are very porous and they’ll absorb water and get mushy during the cooking process, so it’s best to try and keep them as dry as possible.

How to Make Air Fryer Stuffed Mushrooms

It’s as easy as 1,2,3 to make this incredibly savory and elegant appetizer.

  1. Remove cap from mushrooms, scoop out center.
  2. Mix cream cheese with other ingredients per recipe below.
  3. Spoon mixture into each mushroom cap. Place in a single layer in the Air Fryer and cook per recipe below.

Air Fryer Tip

Depending on your air fryer, the mushrooms can fall sideways as you open/close it. If this is the case, place the mushrooms on a piece of foil and fold up the sides to hold them upright or place them in a small baking pan and place in the air fryer.
