Ingredients & Variations

SMOKED SAUSAGE: Precooked and ready to reheat, smoked sausage has a mild flavor that goes with everything. Polish, Italian, Garlic or Kielbasa, even breakfast links will work.

POTATOES: Russets or Yukon gold are best for this recipe because they are extra starchy which means they cook up fluffy on the inside and crispy on the outside. Any potato will do, even a bag of frozen potato wedges, no need to thaw!

VEGETABLES: Onions, peppers, and grape tomatoes are a colorful, savory addition to sausage and potatoes.

SEASONING: Double up on the basic blend in this recipe and use it for future recipes because it goes with everything! We also like Greek Seasoning or Italian Seasoning.

Air Fryer Tips & Tricks

  • Cut onions, potatoes, peppers, and other veggies in uniform sizes so they cook at the same rate.
  • For best results, always preheat the air fryer before cooking. This allows the air to crisp up the outside of the meat and potatoes.
  • Avoid overcrowding the air fryer.

  1. Absolutely terrific. More of a layered taste than similar recipes, and so worth the couple extra steps, which don’t make it more difficult. I didn’t have a fresh lemon so used lemon juice and Penzy’s Minced Lemon Peel, which is soft. My air fryer is a Cosori Dual Blaze, which has heating elements on the top and bottom, so figured it might take a little less time, so instead of 12 minutes for the potatoes I did 10 and it was perfect. My husband loved it and asked me to leave the skin on the potatoes next time, which I usually do anyway. I only had russets and they were great.5 stars

  2. This recipe is so delicious.
Made it for the first time tonight and Wow! Awesome flavor and so, so easy.
This will definitely be a go to meal for those extra busy days.5 stars
