Sour Cherry Lime Margarita

Yummy tart cherries blended with fresh lime juice make an awesome drink!  I’ve made this for my kiddos lots of times…

Did you make this recipe?

Ingredients:

  • 1 oz your favorite drink
  • 10 fresh cherries , pitted (see note)
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons sugar
  • 1/2 lime , juiced
  • 6 ice cubes

Directions:

  1. Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.
  2. Serve immediately.

Notes:

I had a cherry pitter that I’d used for years but it melted in the dishwasher (thanks kids!). So… for this drink, I placed each cherry on the top of a water bottle opening and poked it with a chop stick. This popped the pit out of each one. With most, I had to pull it off but it was fairly quick once I got going.
