Ingredients in Dill Pickle Dip

I love cream cheese. I love pickles. I love dip.

  • This dip contains only 4 ingredients, but it has great crave-worthy flavor.
  • It’s super easy to make.
  • It can be made a couple of days ahead of time making it party perfect.

Cream Cheese – A key ingredient in a dill pickle dip, cream cheese provides a smooth, creamy texture and a delicious tang. It is easy to spread and is a great base for the dip.

Pickles – Dill pickles add zesty flavor and a bit of crunch. Use your favorite dill pickles or even homemade pickles.

Seasoning – A splash of extra pickle juice adds flavor, salt and helps give it the perfect consistency while fresh dill weed adds flavor.

Tips & Variations

  • Variations – Mix in other seasonings like garlic powder, chopped green onions, a bit of ranch dressing mix, parsley, or capers.
  • Liquid – Remember to add enough pickle juice to keep the dip smooth and avoid a chip-wreck.
  • Flavor & Thickening – Allow the dip to rest in the refrigerator so the flavors can blend and it can thicken up a bit.
  • Serving – We love serving this dill pickle dip recipe with potato chips. It’s also great as a dipper for fresh veggies like carrots, celery, or cucumbers.

  • ¼ cup dill pickle juice
  • ¼ cup chopped dill pickles
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill

  1. Chip-wreckers? Love it! And there goes the diet. Again Should have known I’d have to make this again…I just got home from grocery shopping…with 2 bags of chips.5 stars

  2. this dip is so delicious I could eat it with a spoon– and probably have :) i use cream cheese and sour cream, dill relish and dried dill with a little salt and pepper.5 stars

  3. This dip is delicious!!! The pickle juice and the pickles add so much flavor and zest to this dip, without making the consistency too liquidy. It was so easy to make and came together in a matter of minutes. I served this dip as part of a veggie tray and our guests loved it! Thanks Holly for another fantastic recipe.5 stars

  4. I usually start dip/spred recipes with cream cheese by at least getting the cream cheese to room temperature; but usually just toss into the microwave for 10-20 sec (definitely depends on your microwave) so mixing other “stuff” in is a bit easier! I used this as a stuffing for celery which was a huge success! Take care & enjoy!4 stars

  5. This is AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS!! I love dill and dill pickles anyway. MMMM! Making another batch tonight.5 stars
