This amazing bacon cheese dip is served cold with loads of bacon and cheddar flavor! This is the perfect dip for crackers, chips or vegetables!
This delicious Bacon Cheddar Dip is always a hit at any gathering!
Let’s be honest, is there really anything better than bacon AND cheese? No matter where I take this, I always bring home an empty dish (and requests for the recipe). It’s really that good!
The best part is that this is so simple it takes just about 5 minutes to put together… you can serve it right away but if you have time, let the flavors blend for a couple of hours before you serve it!
This dip is very versatile, if you don’t like onions you can certainly skip them or even replace them with celery. You can use sour cream or replace it with plain yogurt depending what you have on hand! If you’d like to lighten it up, use lighter versions of the cheese, sour cream and mayo!

Has anyone tried adding jalapeno to this?
I haven’t but I think it would be delicious!
Are the nutrition facts listed for the entire batch of dip or per serving? If serving, what is the serving size.
Nutrition is facts are per serving, and the recipe makes 10 servings (approx ⅓ to 1/2 cup).
Can you make this a day ahead?
This should work fine if you make it a day ahead Erica. I’d suggest a little stir before serving. Enjoy!
So you don’t use cream cheese at all to form a cheese ball?
This is a dip, not a cheese ball.
This dip is awesome. I added slivered almonds to taste and sobstituted olive oil mayonnaise for the mayo! Fantastic 5 star recipe
So glad you enjoyed it Terri!
This dip is DELICIOUS! Easy to make, everyone loved it.
Easy An very good. Need a dip in a hurry glad I took this one
Easy peasy! Thanks for this recipe! Needed a dip for office tomorrow, was going to take the usual ranch dip. Then, I found this deliciously different recipe, it’s good too! I subbed chicken for bacon as some don’t eat it, but it’s delicious still!! Thank you again for this pin!!
I took it to an office potluck. It was a really big hit.
Is it almonds or green onions?
I add green onions to this recipe. I do occasionally add ¼ cup toasted sliced almonds as well if I have them on hand.
Can I ask what your suggestion would be for the bacon/cheese dip, if we don’t like mayonnaise?
I’ve have only made this as written. Let us know how it works out if you change it up!
The Bacon Cheddar dip recipe was great and consumed at a party in record time. I didn’t use all the cheese, but followed the rest of the recipe. Will definitely make again. Thanks
AWESOME !!! Absolutely loved it. 10 star rating !! Already have it on my list for my Boxing Day dinner this year as a dip for veggies and crackers. I refrigerated it for about an hour, then tasted it and the only thing I added was an extra tsp of Dry Mustard to give it a bit more zip!!
I am so glad that you liked this dip!
A simple but absolutely amazing dip!! My friends raved about it the whole night! Definitely will make this again!
Here I sit at 3am in the morning printing recipes that have my mouth watering soooo much! I think I’m going to the kitchen and cook. LOL. ALL of the recipes that I’ve looked at are so mouthwatering I cannot wait to make them!!!
Thank you Ruth!
Hi, I’d use a drop of tabasco sauce, or omit totally
Thank you – love the bacon recipe.
Lose the almonds and add chopped cooked potatoes and you have Baked Potato Salad. Everyone loves it.
Cream cheese, crumbled bacon and chopped onions Mixed together and set for a few hours makes a yummy cracker spread.
Almonds help keep your blood sugar down also.
Cool. Sounds good, but can I ask what the almonds add? Just some extra crunch?
A little crunch and a bit of a nutty flavor!
