I have 4 kids, the oldest is now 20… As you can imagine, I have made a TON of Playdough in my day!  After trial and error and blending many recipes, this is my favorite concoction!  I sometimes add a little peppermint extract, it smells great!

The best part… No cooking required!

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 cup salt
  • 3 tablespoons cream of tartar
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 1 teaspoon peppermint extract (optional)
  • food coloring (optional)

HOW TO

  1. Put all ingredients into a bowl. Add boiling water.
  2. Knead until smooth.

  6. Love that there is no cooking involved. I like making play doh for my kids but with 3 kids age 3 and under it is too hard to have my undivided attention on the stove.
