If you were a kid in the 90’s (or parent of one), you probably remember the popular snack, Dunkaroo’s. Best childhood snack! How could you not love those little individual containers of funfetti frosting and little cookies. Unfortunately, Dunkaroo’s are no longer sold in the U.S. but you can make the Dunkaroo Dip at home! Dippin a teddy graham in Dunkaroo Dip in a purple bowl

Sometimes I miss my childhood. As I grow older I feel like more memories slip away. Food does a good job of helping me remember though. This Dunkaroo Dip takes me back to sitting in the elementary school cafeteria watching friend Amy over flow her milk carton with bubbles. I love that I can relive that and make new memories as I enjoy this dip with my daughters. Hopefully they’ll remember sitting with me, talking, and laughing, as we dunk away.Overhead shot of purple bowl full of Dunkaroo Dip on a big white plate, surrounded by teddy grahams and a spilt far of sprinkles

The best way to eat this dip is with cute little Teddy Grahams. And did you know they sell Birthday Cake ones?! Funfetti EVERYTHING!!! Sprinkles make me happy.

Just when you thought it couldn’t get much better, it does! This dip only takes 3 minutes and 3 ingredients and one of those is Greek yogurt. Healthy, right? Okay, maybe just not as bad.Dunkaroo Dip in a purple bowl surrounded by teddy grahams

We go through a LOT of Teddy Grahams because they help keep the kids quiet. Well, now we go through even more with Dunkaroo dip! And it’s not just for kids. My husband kept dipping one cookie after the other. Soooo addicting. You are going to love it! Enjoy it as a snack at home or at a party. It will be a hit!

Ingredients

For the Dip:

  • 1 box Funfetti cake mix see note*
  • 1 8 ounce container Lite (or Fat Free) Cool Whip thawed
  • 1 cup vanilla Greek yogurt or regular vanilla yogurt

For Dipping:

  • Teddy Grahams
  • Graham crackers
  • Animal crackers

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350℉.
  • Spread cake mix on a baking tray. Bake for 5 minutes and cool completely.
  • Mix cake mix, Cool Whip, and yogurt together in a bowl until smooth. Serve or place in fridge until ready to serve.
  • Eat with Teddy Grahams, graham crackers, and/or animal crackers.

Notes

Consuming raw flour can cause food poisoning because it typically has not been treated to kill germs such as E.Coli. Cooking the flour (and baking mixes) kill the bacteria.
Cake mix can also be heat treated by placing in a microwave for 30 second intervals until the cake mix reaches 165°F. Stir after each 30 seconds.

    1. 8 ounces is approximately 3 cups of cool whip, which is about ¾ of the one litre container. I hope that helps, Angela!

    1. Hmm, I have made this with gluten-free Funfetti cake mix and it turned out great but I have never tried it with pancake mix. I would love to hear how it turns out if you attempt it Melissa!
