Salmon filets are marinated in a flavorful sesame-soy marinade and grilled until tender and flaky.

  • 1 1/2 pounds salmon fillets
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil toasted
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil

  1. Combine all ingredients except salmon in a small bowl.
  2. Pour over salmon and allow to marinate at least 1 hour (or up to 8 hours).
  3. Preheat grill to medium-high.

  4. Place salmon flesh side down and cook salmon for 6-8 minutes. Turn over and cook and an additional 5-7 minutes or until salmon reaches 145°F. Do not overcook.

Recipe Notes

This can be baked at 450°F for 10 minutes and then broiled for 5 minutes.
