  • 1 egg
  • 1/8 tsp white vinegar
  • 1/2 cup water

  1. Add water and vinegar to a microwavable dish (I used a measuring cup)

  2. Crack egg into the water and gently poke yolk 4-5 times with a toothpick. Cover with plastic wrap.

  3. Microwave 1 minute.  Check egg and cook an additional 15-20 seconds if needed. Remove from water immediately to stop it from cooking.

Recipe Notes

Microwaves and cook times can vary as can personal preference with cook on the egg. Start with 1 minute and check the egg. If it's not quite set enough for you, cook it 5-15 seconds more. Once you've made it once or twice, you should be able to get the time for your own microwave (and egg preferences) down.
