Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 6 cups mini marshmallows
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal

Instructions

  1. Melt butter and marshmallows over low heat while stirring. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla.
  2. Add Rice Krispies cereal and stir until well coated.
  3. Press into a greased 9x13 pan and cool completely.
To Make Microwave Rice Krispie Treats
  1. Combine butter and marshmallows in a large bowl.
  2. Cook over high heat for 1 minute. Stir. Continue cooking on high about 1-2 minutes more stirring until smooth.
  3. Add Rice Krispies cereal and stir until well coated.
  4. Press into a greased 9x13 pan and cool completely.
