Rinse the quinoa to remove any debris or dust.
Combine quinoa and stock or water in a small saucepan.
Bring to a boil, cover, reduce to a simmer for about 15 minutes until water is absorbed.
Remove from heat and let sit covered for 5 minutes. Fluff with a fork.
Optional: To add extra flavor to the quinoa, place it in saucepan with 1 tablespoon olive oil. Cook over medium heat until lightly browned. Add stock/water and cook as directed.
