  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup butter
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 egg
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 1/4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

  1. Combine flour, salt and baking powder and set aside.
  2. Combine butter and sugar in a bowl and mix on medium until creamy.
  3. Add eggs and vanilla. Mix until combined.
  4. Add flour mixture a little bit at a time, mixing with a wooden spoon until incorporated. Cover dough and chill 4 hours or overnight.
  5. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  6. Roll dough to 1/4" thickness and cut into desired shapes.
  7. Place cookies 1" apart on an ungreased cookie sheet and bake 9-11 minutes.
