If you love Jalapeno poppers.. you are going to go crazy for these!  Crispy, creamy, cheesy and spicy…  pretty much everything you need to concoct the perfect bite!

I’m kind of addicted to spice..  I use Sriracha like ketchup and can’t really eat anything without adding some sort of heat to it.  One of the all time favorite recipes on this site is Jalapeno Popper Dip so I know you guys like it a little spicy too!

This appetizer is easy to make, you’ll want to make sure the cheese is really well sealed so it doesn’t leak into the oil causing splatters.  These egg rolls are mini (about 2″ long) so they use wonton wrappers and not egg roll wrappers.  Wonton wrappers can be found in most grocery stores in the produce area (or near the tofu).  If you don’t see them, be sure to ask because most stores do have them!

  1. I wonder about using the jalapeno flavored cream cheese? I’d probably add extra jalapenos because I like more heat, but for those who like moderate, the flavored cream cheese is awesome.

    1. Flavored cream cheese may have a different consistency than regular cream cheese, so I can’t say for sure if it will work. Let us know if you try it Ro!

  2. Holly, I made these recently as an appetizer for a dinner party. I used fresh jalapeños and egg roll wrappers. I put the wrappers in a muffin tin, just put the wrappers in the oven at 425 for about 5 minutes until they started to crisp a bit, then stuffed them with the filling. I then popped them back in the oven at 350 until everything was nice and melty and the wrappers were even crispier. Great recipe. Thanks so much!!

  3. Has anyone tried these using an air fryer? I got one for Christmas and was wondering if they come out with the same crispyness?

    1. I have baked them however I do prefer them fried. You could try brushing with oil and bake. Let me know how it works for you!

  4. Can you make these ahead of time(how far ahead) and fry them day Of? If so, how should they be stored? Thinking of making these for superbowl this Sunday.

    1. I would suggest freezing these if you make them ahead of time. They can be cooked from frozen for about 4 minutes or until crisp and the filling is hot and melted.

  5. I am making them now. All ready and set to put in the oil. Can’t wait to eat them. I had to make them. They looked so yummy.

      1. bake at 450 on oiled rack or on pan directly , only brush or spray with water, when top is crisp turn and brush or spray with water, until bottom is crisp, presentation is less browned but crispy like fried

    1. You definitely can. You’ll want to use approximately 2 fresh jalapenos, seeded and finely diced or to taste depending on how much heat you would like.

  6. These tasted great, but, i would suggest buying the egg roll wrappers and not the wanton wrappers. They are very small and not so easily handled. Overall the flavor was great.
