Lazy Crock Pot Lasagna is a family favorite and so quick and easy to make! A delicious meat sauce layered with cheese and spinach filled ravioli and loads of gooey cheese and cooks up perfectly in the slow cooker. A meal that everyone will agree on. Did I mention how easy this lasagna is to make?

Delicious Lazy Crock Pot Lasagna

Easy Easy Easy

This Lazy Crock Pot Lasagna is a family favorite!  It seems we’re always off at some activity or event and some nights it seems like everyone is going through a revolving door.  This is perfect because it’s quick to make and we can have it ready for when we get home from soccer practice.

We love lasagna and although there are a lot of steps involved in making a lasagna from scratch, the results are always worth it!  This Lazy Crock Pot Lasagna uses a few shortcuts to make a lasagna dish that takes just about 15 minutes of prep and then cooks in the slow cooker but has the same great flavor.

Saucy Lasagna In Your Slow Cooker

The key to making this taste amazing is to use a high quality pasta sauce, the better the sauce, the better the dish!

Cheese and spinach filled ravioli (or you can use just cheese ravioli) replace the traditional layers of pasta and ricotta cheese making it super simple to put together and no boiling required. Adding the cheese on top right at the beginning of the the cooking allows it to get that yummy crusty edge that I love!

This recipe makes a large batch and I would suggest a 6 quart slow cooker or larger.

  1. Holly,
This is great recipe and really versatile. I made this for dinner yesterday. Both hubby and I loved it so much that I sent the recipe link to three family members! It is great that it cooks in the crockpot, so didn’t have to put the oven on and heat up the house in July.

Thank you the great recipes you post! I love your website and have made many of your recipes. Without fail, the recipes are always delicious and uncomplicated. Keep them coming!

  2. I’m wondering if I subbed a breakfast sausage (like Jimmy Dean’s Italian sausage) instead of ground beef would work…we eat beef but have a friend who doesn’t & I would like to invite them over for this…..it looks & sounds delicious…I read through some of the comments saying how good it is…

    1. You can use any kind of ravioli or even tortellini. You can find these in the refrigerator section near the meats at almost any grocery store (I also live in Canada).

    1. Hi Chris, for this recipe we used ravioli fresh from the refrigerator, if using frozen we recommend defrosting them first.

    1. I think that would turn out delicious, Shannon! You will have to let us know how it turns out.

    1. Hi Nancy, we have never made this recipe in the instant pot so I am not sure of the proper cooking times but we would love to hear how you adjust it for the Instant Pot. We do have this Instant Pot Lasagna recipe that may work well for you!

    1. Sure, that sounds delicious, Kandra. As long as you have enough sauce to complete the layers you should be good to go!

  3. If I cook the meat and onions along with adding the seasoning. Could I add everything to crock pot as directed but wait until the next day to cook for the 3-4 hours?

    1. Hi Emily, once prepared I would refrigerate it until ready to prepare. Before adding it to the crockpot I would let it warm slightly before adding it to the crockpot.

  4. If I wanted to double this recipe for a group of 12 women, would I need to cook it longer? Also, if I wanted to add Ricotta, how much do you think I should add and should I decrease the mozzarella if I add Ricotta?

    Thanks,
    Gwen

    1. Hi Gwen, it should be fine to double this recipe and cook on low for the same length of time. If adding ricotta you could reduce the mozzarella in accordance.
