Make the weekday or any day an easy one with these simple make-ahead freezer meal recipes.
Put that freezer space to use and stock up on meals for those nights when you are on the go, for when guests drop by unannounced, or for when we wish dinner would just make itself!
The following list of recipes contains our favorite tried and true meals to make life a little easier!
How to Store Freezer Meals
There are varying ways of preserving freezer meals. First and foremost remember to keep the food as airtight as possible.
For breakfast wraps and sandwiches, it is best to wrap each one individually with aluminum foil and then place it in a zippered bag. This makes it easy to have a grab-and-go breakfast ready for enjoying.
For soups and stews, freeze them in zippered bags (once it has cooled), and then lay flat to freeze. These can be reheated in a pot on the stove or in the crock pot when ready to enjoy.
For casseroles, it is easiest to freeze them in the container they will be cooked in, like a casserole dish or an aluminum foil pan. Remember to cover with aluminum foil, and mark the date it was frozen. Sometimes it is handy to use masking tape and write the cooking time and thawing instructions.
Freezer meals aren’t just for dinner. They can also be prepped and ready for the morning! These are great choices for when guests are staying over, for Sunday brunch, or for quick grab-and-go breakfasts.
