Beauty masks have been around since Cleopatra’s time, utilizing many different fruits and vegetables for their rich bounty of vitamins and minerals. Bananas, fresh cream, and extra virgin olive oil are all amazing moisturizers!
When utilized once a week, especially when applied after an exfoliating sugar scrub, your skin will glow with appreciation. Although it’s gentle enough for delicate facial skin, it’s also great when applied to arms and legs, as well. Since this mask contains no preservatives, it should be used the same day you make it.
- 1 very ripe banana
- 3 tablespoons heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
Using a hand or stand mixer, whip the banana until it's soft and semi-liquid with very few lumps.
Drizzle in the cream and olive oil, mixing until thoroughly combined.
When ready to use, smooth it over your skin and allow it to sit for at least 10 minutes, but no longer than half an hour.
Rinse well with warm water and gently pat skin dry.
